Ivarsson, esperto in geologia e in culture primitive, nonché il cap. Brieux inventore e costruttore di un singolare dirigibile, l'Hyperion. Siamo a Londra, nel 1907, quando velocemente il drappello si trasferisce a Port Conger, estrema stazione esquimese verso l'Artide. Preso a bordo Oomiak, un indigeno reduce dalla spedizione del disperso Donald, dopo una tempesta e un atterraggio di fortuna, il gruppo di Sir Anthony raggiunge una amenissima terra - circondata da ghiacci, ma di clima mite a causa di fenomeni vulcanici - ove abitano dei discendenti di vichinghi norvegesi. La diffidenza degli abitanti rende l'impresa avventurosa, e facilita la mene del Godi, sacerdote-stregone. Ciò nonostante, Donald viene recuperato insieme alla bella Freyia sua moglie, e il viaggio di ritorno si effettua senza il professore che rimane sul posto».

Sir Anthony employs the talents of an archeologist Professor Iverson (David Hartman) and Captain Brieux (Jacques Marin), who pilots the expedition in a Jules Vernesque French airship named Hyperion.
