He is also impotent, but not in the traditional human way. Ever since he accidentally killed the love of his life, his fangs won’t grow and he must feast on the blood of slaughtered animalsl. He confides in the college psychologist (played hilariously by Gary Cole) and soon discovers that Chris Keller, one of his students, is (as the psychologist puts it) his vampire viagra and makes his fangs grow. In a fit of confusion, he turns her into a vampire and finds that she enjoys killing/turning people a little too much. So it’s up to Dr. Gretzky, two of his students (one of which is played by Maclain Nelson, also from ORCS), and a someone from his past, to take down Chris before she turns everyone in the town into vampires. The cast all put in great performances. Gary Cole is hilarious, Adam Johnson is charming enough to make you care about his character (even though he is a blood-sucking killer), and the rest of the cast is good as well. I can’t think of a single person who wavered or put in a subpar performance. The comedic timing was also perfect. So many great jokes completely hit their marks. One running gag involving a guitar got me laughing every time, and it was one of many spots in Dr. Limptooth where the audience and I burst out laughing. This movie is simply a blast from start to finish. It has the feel of a good indie comedy mixed with the charm of a vampire movie. It’s original and they do follow the standard vampire rules, which is nice to see since most of the new movies involve sparkly vegetarian vampires. If I have any complaint, it was that I wanted to see one or two more scenes to close it off, particularly a plot thread involving Gary Cole’s character. Still, this movie is awesome and I absolutely loved it!».
